Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 uses the vehicle's sensors to search for parking spaces and automatically controls the steering wheel, speed and gear shift to help you park in and exit difficult parking spaces.

How to operate RSPA 2: 3
Steps
STEP 1
After pressing the door lock button, press and hold the remote start button to start the engine.
STEP 2
When the vehicle has moved to the desired location by pressing the forward or reverse button on the Smart Key, release the button to stop the vehicle.
STEP 3
Get into the vehicle or use the Smart Key by pressing the remote start button to complete the operation.

The driver can activate the functions from inside the vehicle using the parking/view button.
Operation method: 7 Steps
※ If you press the parking/view button for more than 1 s, the Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 (RSPA 2) function start indicator appears on the screen.
※ If you have not purchased or installed this function, the surround view monitor (SVM) will appear on the screen when you press the parking/view button for 1 s or longer.
STEP 1
To find a parking space, keep a distance of 1.5 m to 0.5 m from the parking line and proceed slowly at a speed of 20 km/h or less.
STEP 2
Put the gear in D and long press the parking/view button to activate the function.
STEP 3
Press the brake pedal to stop before the space you want to park in.
STEP 4
When the parking space search completion message appears on the screen, press the brake pedal to stop and select the parking type (perpendicular/parallel/diagonal) on the screen.
STEP 5
Select a parking method (Smart Parking).
STEP 6
The function is initiated by pressing and holding the parking/view button and then releasing the brake pedal.
STEP 7
When parking is completed, the gear shifts automatically to P, the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) engages, and the engine turns Off.

TYou can navigate to a parking space from inside the vehicle using the parking/view button, then exit and activate the function from outside the vehicle using the Smart Key.

The driver can activate the function from inside the vehicle using the parking/view button.
Operation method: 4 Steps
STEP 1
Make sure the vehicle is parked and press the parking/view button.
STEP 2
Select the direction on the screen to exit the parking space.
STEP 3
Press and hold the parking/view button.
STEP 4
When the system is ready to hand the control over to the driver, a message will appear on the centre screen and an audible signal will be played.
※ RSPA 2 upgrade is available only on EV9 models equipped with Surround View Monitor. GT-Line trim includes RSPA 2 as a standard feature.
